Smelly Cat

Jimmy is a naughty lad!!

Keeps spraying in the house, even though he's been 'done'. I caught him at it yesterday. Little sod....it oinks!!

So, mop, bucket, steamer and cleaning stuff has been in use today.

Ack!

If he carries on shall have to resort to kitty pants. lol.

Anyway, Junior has been playing her Smelly Cat dvd all day.... with a few choice lyric changes. Bless.

The Great Escape

Popeye has defeated Bro in the Garden Room Saga, again.

Bro spent a week renovating and reinforcing said GR. Replaced rickety door with wood and lots of bolts. It was secure. Popeye Proof!! Hah!!!!

This morning, I went down and let the mogs into the GR where they luxuriate, sunbathe and peep at the birds, etc.

Half an hour later, Junior asks why it is so quiet? Ooooooh!!!!! She goes into GR and finds not a mog. Turns out Popeye has nudged out one of the unreinforced and previously sound panes and led his feline comrades out a la Great Escape!!

Little Barstard!! lol

Took us an hour to 'Round 'em up'. Funnily enough, Pops was the first one that Junior caught!!

Garden Room has, once again, indoor metal grilles over the windows. Classy!!

It's a Cat's Life

Aah...this white stuff called snow....plays havoc with our lot!

Jimmy is the only mog who 'goes out'. This means exiting via the garden room/lean-to greenhouse contraption door. That's okay dokey most days....but not when the roof is laden with melting snow which is prone to sliding off whenever one opens or closes this 'door'. lol... Jimmy now getting to be an expert at dodging mini avalanches! He may be an 'old lad' but he can still shift when he needs to! lol

The other mogs are lined up on the window sills at the mo.....the ones with radiators beneath:o) Bums warming nicely:o The 'Hyperactive Lot' - Popeye, Olive, Bart, Tinks, Henry and Ringo - sleep downstairs on a night. They can partay all they want there. The better behaved ones sleep upstairs...usually on my bed or some warm corner. Come morning, the Lounge lot are raring to get up here for fuss...and my bed .....to lay their weary, party animal heads on. lol The 'Upstairs Lot' usually head towards the garden room....to look out and 'ooh and ahh' at all the birds. It's COLD in there...it's a bit like a cat run/pen..some is open to the elements. A bit Brrrrrrrrr!:o)

The love of LooLoo

I have been ill of late. Knackered would be a good description.

Joints have played up, as per usual.

I couldn't get out of bed. Bones too heavy to move. It is not nice and very irritating... not being able to get up or even get to the loo on time!!

I have read up on my condition and it does not make for happy reading. I have to see the quack...quickly and perhaps sort out a will.....

Anyway....there was I.....sat on dining chair at the side of the bath..trying to get bones warmed up. Legs in hot water. You see..no way could I manouvre bod into the bath and out again!!! lol So next best thing is to dangle feet into water and hope ankle joints come back to life.

So, LooLoo jumps up on my knee. She is the most delicate looking of the mogs. A slight little soul. She demands beings petted....stroked. So, I do, even though my hand was twice the size as usual. Ten mins later I am fed up..worn out. Nope...Miss L demands more....so I stroke her more and more. This goes on for AGES. See...Miss L knows that I need to exercise the old joints so what could be better that stroking her? lol

The other cats have a knowing look, too. Been keeping my body warm, as I have been bed bound. I honestly felt like my bones were made of ice and bones were about to break. They would not leave me. Maybe they felt bad, too? They certainly 'talked' to me...especially Muppet of all mogs!! She's been tucked up near me all the while, which is unusually brave of her:o)) xx Even the dog has been clingy.

So, today I feel better and the mogs and dog are being spoiled rotten. Tuna is on sale at the local shop. 2 tins for a quid! Woo hoo!!

Next door neighbour is fighting the big C. Fought it 5 times and won. It's back....no 6. I pray neighbour will see this round off, too. Could not meet a nicer person. Life is not fair sometimes, is it?

Anyway...Thank you, my babies for looking out for me:o)) xx

Today, two days later the swelling is down to near normal.

Warm Arse

Ah.....we have plenty of mogs in this house:o)

Muppet is one of 'The Old Ladies'. A right old feline.......but gives us a run for our money:o)

She's a sweet, little old thing. But, a wiley old sod.

Anyway, I think she's cool, She knows the best places to warm her feline arse.

The top of TV is good :o))...even if you are only ever watching dvd's.

What am I going to do with you, Dear Dog?

Water trough outside garden room. Covered with metal sheet, which sometimes 'slips' off.

Water trough has been frozen of late, due to snow and freezing weather.

Dog goes in and out via back door of garden room into garden.

Dog barks to come in when she is ready:o)

When barking, dog sometimes sits on top of metal sheet which is covering water trough.....you know where this is going!!!

No more frozen water trough, due to thaw.

Dog not too bright today:o)

Wet dog! lol

Hots

Good news.

The dog is back to normal. No more season:o)

Bad news.

Ringo....neutered Ringo...keeps 'having a go' at Honey Pot.

Sigh.......

Shhhhhhh

Seven cats are currently asleep on my bed.

Another is asleep on my rocking chair..snuggled in a patchwork quilt. Muppet is snoozing underneath it and Spooky is wrapped around the warm central heating radiator.

Jimmy is in the airing cupboard. .......arghhhhh!!!! He can have it. I have long stopped storing the clean bed linen in there.

Dog is sprawled out, comatose, by my feet.

So, where is Tinkabelle?

Curled up, fast asleep on the glass-topped coffee table.

Funny cat!! lol

The Tail of Tinks

Tinkabelle managed to escape into the garden today.

She's one of the mogs who is normally busting a gut to get out there!!!

Well, off she shot as I was letting the dog out......and then, after a bit, all I could see was a little brindle tail going down the garden! Snow is so deep in the back. lol Little panic miaows were heard, so Junior rescued her.

Cat was not best pleased with the cold and complained loudly once back in. Snow looks fun from her viewing pod in the back bedroom... where it's warm. lol

Runny Spook

Poor Spooky doesn't seem to be herself today. Suffering from the runs, for some reason. Maybe she's caught a chill from all this coldness? Or maybe one of the other mogs spooked her.....she always 'poos her pants' if they bug her. Anyway, she's laid out under a warm radiator.....cat litter within staggering distance The 'Usual Suspects' are well out of the way. Banished from Spookland. lol

The Old Ladies

Spooky and Muppet are our 'old ladies':o)

They're about 11 and very different characters, even though they're sisters. We've had them from being kittens.

Spooky the tuxedo type, is very vocal and outgoing......with a blummin annoying miaow...she's good with the old decibels and repeats!! She loves cuddling up....for ages:o)))

Muppet is shy and still won't come willingly to me when I call her.....only on her terms...which is usually to either cuddle up or hide behind me when the others play chase. She's a proper, shy semi-feral and so loves hidey holes, like the cat carrier she's pictured in.

Anyway, they have been lording it in my bedroom for weeks. Safe haven from the other mogs when they get too hyper..... and those nasty outsiders who like picking off and shooting animals just for the hell of it!! Muppet's wound has healed up and she ain't ever going to be allowed roam out again. But, a super, dooper cat run is going to be built for the mogs so they can go 'outside' and be safe.

So, last night. Me....suffering with stiff board like joints and a REALLY painful stiff neck..finds the old ladies in kitten mode. Hop, skipping and jumping all over the place. Play fighting, trilling away....just like the younger lot:o) They are happy.

Then they conked out......for AGES!!! Sleep:o) lol

And, my joints feel much better, along with neck. My girlies made Mummy better! lol

Baby It's Cold Outside

The mogs are not even attempting to escape outside.

Only Mother's cat, Jimmy, goes out...and then he hightails it back in pronto!
This cold, freezing weather is not nice on pampered paws.

Warm radiators are much nicer:o)
Jimmy curled up on fleecy cover

Bart on his perching spot...on top of a wardrobe

Tinks..new fave pastime..sharpening teeth

Henry and Bart on top of clothes airer!!

Baubles

Braved it yesterday.

Tree now has a star (we sacked the half naked angel). Tree also has a dozen or so baubles and angels adorning it.

Mogs thing it's great. This swatting the round, shiny thingies!! Chief pest is Henry. Arghhhh

The Mogs' Christmas Part 1...Putting up the Tree

Been gifted a Christmas tree...which is of the fibre optic type.

The mogs are having a whale of a time.....playing with the box that the tree came in. Even Jimbob is joining in the festive fun. They're playing the 'run through the tunnel' game'. lol

Tree has been upright for a whole three hours!!!

Stakeout

Junior is not a vegetarian. From time to time she needs her meat. So, today she is having tarragon chicken, the smell of which is wafting in the kitchen.

All of a sudden, she has twelve REALLY bestest feline friends. You should see them...all luvey and cute....fluttering eyelashes. The 'Pick me' look:o)

They are on stakeout duty:O) In the kitchen, by the oven, a couple by the kitchen door. Olive is in charge:O) lol

They think this chicken is for them.....and no-one else is gonna get their paws on it!! lol

The Education of a certain Mr Ringo Schooler

Bit of internal fratching going on here.

Bad boy is Ringo!!!

Naughty Rings!!!

Sooooooo, he got shooved into the garden room today....to cool off.

Did I mention that it has been cool here of late? Needing to keep cental heating on, sort of thing.

Anyway, Rings is made of sterner stuff.....but...it seems, he has learned his lesson.

Do not snot Junior. Bad Move!!

Bart the Brainy

Recently, I got out the ironing board and iron.

Dusted them down and got on with a spot of ironing. First time in AGES. 'Tis not my favourite activity and, anyway, I generally dry things on hangers, so the creases, if any, are minimal.

OK, ironed clothes store away better, in that you can cram more into your drawers and wardrobes if they are ironed, as opposed to just 'shoved in',

Well, the mogs have taken a liking to the ironing board. New bed:o)...Snoozing pad:o)...etc.

There is currently a pile of denim on the board, waiting to be made crease-free. Pile has been there for a 'while'.

Well, he got fed up of waiting. I caught Bart today....chewing the iron cable! Like, proper 'yah yah yah' chewing. Iron is now another electrical item in this house which I can add to the 'pooped' list.

Bart wants his bed back......Little sod!

Routine

I can't figure out how to put piccies up on this laptop. Is doing my head in!!!

Our little darlings are lovely:o)

We have a routine and every night, about 10.30ish we all go to bobo's:)

I usually wake them up with my fidgeting...due to rickety, aching, restless legs and the such.

And, at 6am each morning, Tinks goes all soft and jumps up and cuddles up to Junior:o)

Spook cuddles up to me. Ringo sleeps on top of the wardrobe, Jimmy boots out Cilla and sleeps in her bed!...musical beds:o)

Come 6.30am...the youngsters play chase:o)...all over the blummin place. If we are too knackered, then there is many a flying shoe in our house!!

Jimmy

Have to blog this, in case we forget.'

We have Mother's cat, Jimmy's living here with us as she's not allowed pets where she is now. Safe to say tht he's not used to living with eleven other cats, having lived the pampered life with Mother for the last 7 years:o) Prior to that, he lived a stray's life on the sheltered housing complex where they 'met'. He belonged to someone...but no-one definite. He was a feline tramp:o( So, when Mother came along he 'adopted' her....knowing that he was onto a good thing:o)..and she needed someone/thing to look after. It was a good match.

Anyway, now he is at Chez Min. She can see him any time and see for herself that he's ok. He sits on her knee when she visits and purrs away for a while....then buggers off! Payback for 'abandoning' him...she thinks. She pays for his upkeep and sends him tins of the finest salmon for his little tummy. Ah, he has her for a right sucker!!

Well, he can be a bit of a grumpy old fart....feline version of Victor Meldrew:o) He growls. Likes to go out to do the 'toilet'. Trouble is, when he goes out he fights any cat in sight. Territorial stuff. Our garden is 'his' and no-one else's...sort of stuff. So, he comes back with war wounds and lots of parasites!! Bloody yuk!!

I spend an absolute fortune on Frontline and Drontal...but still they only just keep fleas and worms at bay.

Anyway, because of the territorial stuff, Jimbob is staying in. I do not want more vet bills...plus, people around here aren't really cat friendly, as per Muppet, who has been hurt by someone and is now recovering upstairs.

So, Jimbob is being kept in. He hates it, of course...growls for Bloody England and any empire that there may be!! The others just parade around and tell him, in their own way, to belt up and be grateful:o)

So, four months of growling we have endured. I appreciate he likes to poop in private....but 'get over it'!! lol

Yesterday....we were out for ages. A Mother emergency. We left him in the kitchen. Door open but there is a dog gate..to stop Cilla from wandering and wrecking the place, but any cat can jump over the gate if they so wish. Not Fartarse, though!! Too posh to jump!!

We came back and fed our pride of puddy tats:o) They were sooo pleased to see us:o) And, guess what? For the first time I have EVER seen....Jimmy played:o) As in....scooting around (with LooLoo) and playing:o) Proper cat play. Happy and jolly. Yay

We are definitely doing something right, then:o).....?

Not everything, though.

He crapped in the kitchen sink! Little Barstard!!
